“Experiments with Faith Identities in an Interfaith Context”
Saturday dinner - Thursday lunch, August 21-26, Camp Indralaya,
Every authentic spiritual path provides steps to support our journey from the confines of the ego, to the opening of the heart, and to the timelessness of greater awakening. “Experiments with Faith Identities in an Interfaith Context” is a hands-on, experiential retreat with time for journaling, sharing, and conversation.
The Interfaith Amigos are joined by Rev. Catherine Fransson to lead this retreat in which participants will be invited to celebrate rituals through each of their traditions with a focus on actual experience.
Each of these teachers will have a full day to guide us on this essential spiritual journey supported by the rituals, teachings, and spiritual disciplines unique to their particular Abrahamic tradition. The beauty of our location fully supports our inner experience.
Following our dinner together on Saturday evening, we begin our immersion in Christianity, Sunday evening begins our experience of Judaism, and Monday evening begins our day with Islam. Wednesday will allow us to use our group experience to create celebrations of Spirit that might transcend institution to invite us to take the next step in our personal journey of awakening.
Imagine the possibilities as we step together to the experience of greater happiness, joy, and even spiritual ecstasy, guided by these Interfaith Amigos. Discover deeper dimensions of your own spiritual process through the rituals of the three Abrahamic faith traditions.

Interfaith Pilgrimage - Full, names now being taken for waiting list
Wednesday, October 27 - Friday, November 5
Presented by Spiritual Directors International
Guides: The Interfaith Amigos
Spiritual Directors International Host: Rev. Terry Moran
Local Host: Canon Iyad Qumri, Christian Palestinian Guide
Each day begins and ends with group meditation and prayer, and includes time for sharing. To accommodate our needs as we journey together in outer and inner realms of the sacred, our schedule will be flexible. Most mornings will combine teaching and a walking tour, with most afternoons unstructured, allowing time for personal inner and outer exploration. There will usually be a group meditation before dinner.
We will walk the streets of Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Safed, the home of Jewish mystics. We will journey to the Mount of Beatitudes and Korazim for meditation and prayer. We will visit the Dead Sea, and have the option of floating in its waters.
The cost is $1,995 per person, plus $500 non-refundable registration fee, based on double occupancy, and includes local transportation, accommodation, three daily meals, tips, and site entry fees. A limited number of single rooms are available for an additional $400. The trip is limited to 42 participants.
Complete registration details and information are on the SDI site. If you need further assistance, please contact Sue Espinosa.
